Subjection to The Father of Spirits
“Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?” – Hebrews 12:9 NKJV
The path to acquiring any kind of knowledge is normally a path of correction and reproof, so also is the path to divine knowledge. But the flesh cannot endure spiritual discipline and is not meant to because the things of the spirit are foolishness to the flesh. God is the father of spirits, He has spiritual children whose upbringing is in the spirit. We must put to death the deeds of the flesh and fully embrace our spiritual identity in order to come into the knowledge of God.
May you receive grace to mortify the flesh and yield to the life of the Spirit in Jesus name.
