Cultivating the Attitude of Coming to God
“This is the generation of them that seek Him, that seek thy Face, O Jacob. Selah” – Psalm 24:6
It is with much pleasure I write to you on things pertaining to the Kingdom. Our Father is looking for sons. God is looking for those who will diligently seek Him. He on his side (The Throne) has offered to give himself freely unto every man, woman, child who comes to Him in repentance, seeking His Face.
Revelations 22v 1, 16-17 summarizes for us the ‘Contract’ i.e. what God offers man and then what is required of man:
“And He showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb”
“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star”
“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely”
God’s offer:
God is offering us His water of life freely. Now what is this water of life? The book of Psalm chapter 1 narrates about a man who comes to the Word of God daily. The psalmist goes on to say this ‘man is like a tree planted by the rivers of water who brings forth his fruit in due season, whose leaf shall not wither and whatsoever he does prosper’.
Hence a man who comes to the water (flow, revelation) of the Word is a man who receives the Water of Life. And guess what? This water of life is Free!!! HALLELUJAH
What is required of Man:
Simply put “To COME”. A man that comes to God will be rewarded. Hebrews 6:6 says for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. A man who develops an attitude to coming to hear the revelation of God’s word is such a man (a COMER to God). And God is looking for such men in these last days.
The Problem:
Everything designed in our earthly lives, both legitimate and at times illegitimate serves as a hindrance to your coming to God. Now we all know we need money for food, clothing, shelter, to raise a family just to name a few. But the question is ‘in doing all of that, the pursuits of this life, do we forget the ultimate price? The ultimate price is to have God and inorder to have God you must hear His Word (see 2 John:9) “Whosoever trangresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son”
How do we overcome this problem?
Add ‘God’ to your schedule. In order words create time to come and hear His Word. It is for this reason our Father has set up platforms like Life Meetings Fellowship so that the Revelation (water) of His Life can flow.
Shalom
